We will be offering MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) Introduction to Trail Riding at Red River Motorcycle Trails!!!!!!!!
This will be our North site. Any other areas are welcome as well but we did want to have areas close you.
Houston riders if you want us to haul your bike and gear we do have the room in the stacker.
Red River is a 2700 acre site which is also the site of the RED Bull Last Man Standing Enduro in Bulcher Texas.
Soooo..... those interested send us an email to kam@kamracingtexas.com titled ITR Red River Student so we can start working on dates.
Remember a class is limited to 4 students.

Offering At Honda of Houston
5/9/09 Adult/Teen (Dual Sport Focus) This new course will focus on the 8 additional exercises that we normally do not get to with beginning riders. All the Basic Exercises will be done as well but at a much faster pace (pace not speed) than beginners.
i.e. The target time for the Moving the Motorcycle Exercise is 20 minutes, we have been close to an hour on this one before. Since you own a motorcycle or have taken Basic we should not see dinner plate sized eyes when you let the clutch out and you should not take your right foot off the brakes till you stop.

KAMKAMP ADDS ARENA RASCAL PRO!!!!!!
In just a couple of classes we decided we wanted to add more to the class. By completing MSF Dirt Bike School we are telling students they are ready to start riding in the dirt. But we really felt we had only exposed them to riding in hard dirt and grass. Wanting our students to be better prepared, we are adding the ATV pulled Arena Rascal Pro! http://www.abiequine.com/products/arena_drags/arena_rascal_pro.php
This wonderful tool will allow us to set the course with changing base surface deepths. It will also remove the sea of orange effect we have now. The larger benefit is that each class will get the same course to provide us with consistency in every class.

Additionlly we have added our second CRF450 flattracker. Former National Number 57 Rusty Gourley's Honda is now in the KAM Racing stable. Anyone who has seen Rusty ride this Honda of Houston (HHR) built engine knows it is wicked fast.
As we have completed our 5th class, working with the Honda of Houston staff has been terrific. It is easy to see why they are Houston's Premier Honda dealer.

Motorcycle Safety Foundations DirtBike School www.dirtbikeschool.com is a very basic how and why for beginning riders, returning riders or anyone who has never been formally schooled in Dirtbike riding. Would also be a good class for the "I want a Dirtbike" child so they can check it out before you buy them a motorcycle. The course gives you a foundation to build your riding skills from. The course runs a minimum of 4 hours and 50 minutes. The school may run longer depending on the students.

Mobile Classes.
By having a race team as well, we are highly mobile and can function in primitive surroundings. With some pre-course work we can come to you.
Site approval required by MSF. Requires a two week turn around time.
Lunch is provided on site. (If you have a special diet need advise us pre-registration.)
Guest Racers: You never know who we know that may come hang out with us. You or your kids may meet some of the fastest people on two wheels.
Cost
We provide everything bike and gear head to toe $200.00 a class.
Your bike and your gear 125.00 a class.
Your bike will be pre course inspected with a checklist that we will send you ahead of time. If your bike does not pass the checklist you will have to ride one of ours. Since you made the effort to try have your bike in compliance we will not charge for the use of ours. The rationale here is we do not want you to think we are going to fail your bike just so that we can charge you to use ours. If you have a bike we want to promote you having it in safe working order.
Currently the schedule/location will be a Flex Schedule to meet the student’s schedule.

FAQ's:
Q. What can you tell me about DirtBike School?
A. The MSF DirtBike School is owned and managed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. MSF coordinates, endorses and supports delivery of the MSF DirtBike School through individual DBS Retailer Operated Courses, DBS Coaches and other organizations and events.
Q. Do I need my own Motorcycle and Riding Gear?
A. No. In most cases, there are dirt bikes and riding gear available for your use in the class. Contact the DirtBike School you will be attending for exact details.
Q. How long does the class last and what will we be taught?
A. Classes last about six hours. Come prepared to learn how to conduct a pre-ride inspection, basic riding techniques, mental strategies and environmental awareness.
Q. What does DirtBike School cost?
A. Prices vary depending on the provider. Please check with the DirtBike School you will be attending for these details.
Q. What materials will be given to students?
A. Students that successfully complete a course will at a minimum receive an MSF DirtBike School completion card and the Tips and Practice Guide for the Off-Highway Motorcyclist booklet; riders under 16 will also receive the Parents, Youngsters and Off Highway Motorcycles booklet.
Q. Are there class size requirements?
A. Yes, as follows:
Ages 6 - 11: maximum of 4 students.
Ages 12 - 15: maximum of 6 students.
Ages 16 and older: maximum of 8 students.
Note: Ages 6 - 11 cannot be taught with other age groups except in family/group classes.
Q. Can a six year old child really ride a dirt bike?
A. Yes, children are often the safest students because they don't have any pre-existing "bad riding habits." An experience like riding a dirt bike can give a child self-confidence that will spill over into other areas such as school and team sports.
Q. Will I be taught to race?
A. No, but you will be taught the skills necessary to safely ride an off-highway motorcycle. Where that takes you is up to you.
Q. I have never ridden a street motorcycle before. Should I take a Dirt Bike course first?
A. That is a great idea. You will learn how to shift, balance, maneuver, and stop a motorcycle, plus some mental skills to help keep you safe. This will be a huge asset if you decide to take the MSF Basic RiderCourse for street motorcycles.
Q. Is there a more advanced course available?
A. Yes, in some areas there are Trail Coaches that conduct the Introduction to Trail Riding (ITR) class. Please check the DBS Locations page for the ITR class in your area.
